The HGU 39 P is a chemical, biological, oxygen helmet and mask used in the 1980s. The basis of the HGU 39 P is an SPH 4 helmet without the visor cover. Cast aluminum oxygen mask receivers and Air Force communication components complete the basic helmet. A chemical hood can also be laced over the helmet and mask. This is just the basic helmet without any of the attachments. This is a good unissued example of the HGU
