Maori Bone Koru Heru Comb Koru This mud is well knownThis Maori Bone Koru Heru Comb features beautifully detailed carving. The curving Koru design represents the unfurling new fern shoot, and in this heru it has been shown in a very realistic manner, with four fern shoots coming out the top of the comb. The sturdy cow bone heru has 4 prongs and measures approximately 16cm (6 1 4") long. Heru were a sign of rank in the Maori pre European world, and were worn in a top knot. This heru is proudly shipped
