Guido Rivella, Barbaresco Fausoni Vintage:2018 Les Quartz and the CuveeThe 2016 Barbaresco Fausoni, here in its debut vintage, is powerful and dense, with tons of energy and plenty of reserve. Wild cherry, spice, menthol, licorice and dried herbs gradually reveal themselves, but ultimately, the 2016 is a Barbaresco that needs time to fully come together. Its promise and potential are both evident. Stylistically, the Fausoni is a bit austere, as wines from this Neive site tend to be. Antonio Galloni
